A Bank of Hope is a close community of associates who have gone through Esperanza's business training program together who are responsible to each other during the loan repayment process. Each Bank consists of several solidarity groups each containing five members. The Bank of Hope meets every two weeks with their loan officer to repay a portion of their loan and offer support and advise to one another. This format creates responsibility not only to Esperanza, but to the other community members because if one individual defaults on a payment, Esperanza will not except a payment from other group members. Therefore, the community helps others succeed at their businesses while striving themselves to be accountable to their family and their Bank of Hope. How does the sponsorship program work? Individuals, families, sports teams, church groups, and other organizations can now pool their resources to support a Bank of Hope. Your goal is to raise $5,000. All you need to do is click Donate Now and create a key word to input into the Designation field. Share this key word with others you want to invite to join your pool. You may join an existing pool if you receive a key word from a current member. Once your pool reaches $5,000 Esperanza will disburse your donation to members of a Bank of Hope awaiting their loans. Each sponsor in the group will also receive a confirmation letter, a subscription to our monthly newsletter, as well as a Login and Password to our Sponsors Area (accessible in the Members Sign-In tab on the right-hand menu of this website). From the Sponsors Area, you can access all your account information. You can view your portfolio, read details about each associate in the Bank of Hope that have received your donation, monitor as their loans are repaid and follow them as they build their businesses. |
